Frequently asked questions
Which milling machine should I choose — dry or wet?
It depends on the material. A dry mill (DWX-52Di Plus, DWX-53D, DWX-53DC) works with discs: zirconia, PMMA, wax, PEEK, CoCr sinter metal. A wet mill (DWX-43W) works with blocks: glass ceramic, hybrid ceramic, composite. Many labs have both. Tell us which restorations and materials you use most and we will suggest a configuration.
Are DGSHAPE machines an open CAD/CAM system?
Yes. You choose your own CAD and CAM software — e.g. Exocad, 3Shape or Dental Wings for design. The DWX-43W comes bundled with DGSHAPE CAM software. Before you buy, we will check that the software you already use works with the machine you choose.
Can I mill titanium?
The DWX-43W mills titanium with additional equipment. For titanium discs we offer the Whiteth C-52, a 5-axis dry and wet milling machine with a water-cooled 80,000 rpm spindle.
Who handles installation and training?
We do. We deliver, set up and connect the machine, and train your staff at installation using your own cases.
How do service and spare parts work?
We provide service and genuine spare parts through the official DGSHAPE channel. On the DWX-52Di Plus and DWX-53D, users replace the spindle themselves, with no waiting for a technician. Machines bought from us come with the manufacturer's warranty.
